Shout Out For Endurance Nation in Utah!

Im currently tucked away in a seat, sipping a cup of coffee, and participating in one of modern man’s last forms of legalized torture: commercial flying. Yeah, and that’s saying a lot for a guy who is obsessed with aviation and flying. I really don’t like flying commercially.

Yet, one of the joys of this particular trip is that I’m currently in Salt Lake City waiting for my connection, and I get to enjoy watching all the athletes racing Ironman St. George Utah this weekend hustling by. There’s nothing quite like an airport in the host city of an Ironman, especially in baggage claim. Instead of skis and golf bags, bike crates and thousands of identical, M-dot branded bags abound.

Right now, its is snowing something fierce here, and I really hope the weather is better on the course. It was a beautiful flight in, even for someone who lives in Montana. I really want to do St. George next year, but I’m thinking its just going to be way to difficult for me to train during the winter in Montana. Six hour indoor rides are beyond even my comprehension.

Despite that, I’m still so jealous of my teammates racing this weekend. Wish I could be there guys. I haven’t posted much about Endurance Nation yet, but take it from me, I never could have progressed so far in the last 2 years without them. Their coaching is personalized, nearly instant via the internet, and hands on. I can’t back them enough. Plus, the online community we have provides one of the most useful tools in training: accountability. Best of luck team, stay safe, and dominate!!
