I Eat Pain For Breakfast
Its been a long time since Ive done a morning training session, and now why I remember why. After a long day at work and plenty of coffee, its easy for me to get on the drainer and loosen up for some good intervals. That’s in stark contrast to the morning, when warm up was like trying to melt an iceberg with a Bic lighter.
After about 20 minutes of churning, I was still feeling like molasses. Running short on time, I decided to fire up the intervals anyway. Today, I had 2X10 min at Zone 4-5 and 1X15 min at Zone 4-5. Here’s how it turned out:
Not my best day. Three pnorms for the intervals were 161-163 on average which is 87.5% percent. I need to be in the 95% range of FTP to get some really good work done. I’m hoping that today’s session was secondary to some tired legs still from this weekend’s race.
