Out Of The Ditch

Its been a rough couple of days here in Montana. Earlier this week, without getting into details, the poop hit the bladed spokes at work, and my stress levels have been way up. This in turn led me to get a nice cold virus since Tuesday. All in all, I’ve just been beat for a couple of days and I’ve been taking it light pretty much all week.

Finally though, I feel like I’m climbing out of the ditch. Last night, I loosened up with a good trainer session of 4X30/30’s followed by a nice brick run. That gave me some good endorphins and energy, and today is even better. Have a swim planned for a lunch and then a quick stretch of the running legs tonight.

I got to get limber and on the ball as I have a hometown sprint this weekend. This is the first race that I’ve ever done that didnt involve driving longer than an hour so Im pretty stoked. Unfortunately, the weather has been less than cooperative; rain for the past 3 days and a forecast of possible thunderstorms the day of the event. Of course, this is Montana, so for all we know it could be snowing on Sunday.

Okay, back to work…and more coffee!
