Lunch Break With Angry Birds
Just a few more days in week 3 and things are still going strong. Today, rushed back to the house during lunch for a quickie….on the trainer….with my bike. On the menu today was 60 minutes of zone 3 with 2X10 min at Zone 4-5. I put the intervals early on in the hour, and I was left with a good 20 minutes of boring zone 3. Lucky for me, I just installed Angry Birds on my iPad and it kept me plenty busy. Man, that game is more addicting that a steroid patch on……I mean more than Brussels sprouts.Things went great and felt strong, even with this being the third day in a row. Tomorrows a rest day, so time for some good swimming.
Of interesting note, I just got my video analysis done with TTBike Fit. Great service and info; well worth the Benjamins. From the analysis, I apparently have some problems with circular knee tracking that I need to fix. I concentrated today on eliminating that motion and the power seemed to come easier.
I don’t have any power data right now as I still haven’t found my freaking Garmin charger. I ordered a new one from Amazon (amazingly, not crazy expensive like everything else in this sport) and it should be here next week.
Got a good weekend ahead. On Sunday, there is the Whitefish Lake Swim. A one miler, it will be great to get out into the open water. I’m just hoping mother nature doesn’t drop a load of whoop ass on us. Right now, its forecasting low 60’s and possible thunderstorms. You never can tell what the weather is going to out here in Montana…we will just have to wait and see.
Tomorrow, I’m also going to try my hand at Parisi. My work has a Parisi school and I’m hoping to improve my core strength with it. Will post following with pics hopefully.
