Training: The Saga Begins

16 weeks to go until Coeur d’alene and its finally time to get the party started. I finished up the 2 transition weeks exactly how I wanted to: fully rested and brimming over with enough energy to jump start a nuclear reactor with my nipples.

And now, with that horrible metaphor in your mind, we can progress to the land of General Prep. Over the next 4 weeks, my training will quickly be ramping up in volume while keeping the intervals. Today was 60 minutes with 2 x 1 mile at Zone 4, rest at endurance pace. In action, looks like this:

Without a doubt, its great to be out of the OS and finally working towards a slightly more tangible goal. Even though CDA is 16 more weeks away, its a heck of a lot easier to get out and pound the pavement.
