Checklists……Check: 9 Days

These rules pretty much apply to my flying...

When you been training for a race over a year, it really sucks to show up at the big party missing your left running shoe. With the multitude of equipment that is involved in racing, and the excitement of the week, its easy to forget something. That’s where one of the most important tools in triathlon comes in to play: the checklist. Here’s my list for the race.

Now, just to pack for three kids and my non racing supplies. Maybe I need to make a checklist for my checklist?

Taper is going so so. I’m doing okay with the diet, but I still feel all mushy and sore. I swam on Thursday, and it went just horrible. Felt so stiff. I’m going to the pool again tomorrow to keep limber. Tonight, put out an hour on the trainer with 3X6′ Zone 4 and that fortunately felt GREAT. Tomorrow, I have a 2.5 hour ride with a brick run, and I’m looking forward to the low intensity loosening up.
