Back At It
It’s been a little over a week now since CDA and its been a fun rest period. Looks lined Ive gained about three pounds. Thanks to my pharyngitis, I didn’t have a problem laying low for the week. Put in one swim late last week. This week, I’ve started up the post Ironman training plan. This runs for 4 weeks and basically gets my body recovered and ready to return to more training. Started off the week with a short 4.5 mile run at about 9:40 pace. Today, I hit the pool for 200 yards with 10X150’s descending. Tomorrow, hitting the bike for the first time. Luckily, the weather has been awesome; summer has finally arrived in Montana.
Slow and steady for me. Ive heard from all my teammates that recovery is very tricky. Its easy to feel great and go out and injure yourself. That is something I surely don’t need. So tomorrow is about having some fresh air, maintaining my sanity at work, and FUN.
