Thinkpad Tablet 2 Unboxing, Stylus, and USB Power – Update
Okay, this is totally not related to triathlon except in the sense that I will use it to post, but I wanted to share my latest upgrade in life: a new Windows Tablet. I’ve had this thing for a few hours and the one thing I can already say is this: it does not seem to run TrainerRoad well.
In any case, a little rant must accompany this post. Lenovo has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. And I’ve had several Dell computers. I ordered this Tablet back on 12/26 and was told I should receive it on 1/3. After my order was pushed back several times, I tried to cancel my tablet. Despite doing that TWICE, it showed up at my door anyhow. How this happens in this day and age, I am uncertain. But rest assured, I won’t be ordering anything from Lenovo anytime soon.
I can’t say that I like this yet. I take a lot of hand written notes in my work, and that’s the main reason I bought it. No more having my assistant fax me copies of my scribbles while I am traveling. But I will give it some time. I am already feeling that my hopes of replacing my laptop with this are dwindling rapidly. Ah technology. I wonder how that Microsoft Surface Pro will do….
Update#1: I am not sure what happened, but now TrainerRoad is working great. Perhaps my computer was downloading something.
Update#2: Apparently a few people have had issues with their USB ports not powering devices like external hard drives. This is correct. It will turn on lights on devices, but not work with them. More coming.
