Roid Rage

Just a quick update status post my first workout post major throat infection. I am happy to say I am feeling much better. I still woke up twice last night to breathe in some fresh, cool night air as I was hacking a lung up like I had been training in a coal mine for 20 years. But I still woke without a sore throat and relatively well rested. After a delicious and sensible breakfast of a muffin with my remaining steroid taper pills, it was time for some studying, writing, and then riding. Here is the damage for the day:

Got to admit. I am loving my new Garmin 920 and the new look of the Garmin Connect.

It was very easy feeling today. Probably more because of the fact I have been a couch potato for six days. Especially since I was kind of expecting this with all the steroids on board:

Hulk fighting a grizzly bear. Totally appropriate for this Montana triathlete.

But I didn’t pass out or spit out a lung, so I will count it as a win. No run today as it is blowing like crazy out and I figured that would tempt fate too much. But tomorrow morning, it’s time to try out some new Spotify run playlists! And I’m sorry, but the animated gifs are like my new favorite thing. And I can’t resist adding in this additional Hulk Vs. Bear one because I am afraid I will never have a chance to use it anywhere else. This is not how the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks recommends handling bear encounters mind you.
